Generative engine optimisation: be the source AI answers cite
Generative engines write answers by retrieving pages and synthesising them. They favour pages with clear claims, data, definitions and author credentials, and they check brand facts across the web. We make your content easy to retrieve and quote, and build the third-party mentions that give models confidence to name you.
What is generative engine optimisation?
Generative engine optimisation, or GEO, improves how often and how favourably a brand appears in answers produced by large language model systems such as ChatGPT search, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode. These systems retrieve pages, weigh them by relevance and credibility, then generate text with citations. GEO covers writing content with quotable statements and statistics, adding structured data, keeping facts consistent across sources, earning mentions on sites the models trust, and publishing machine-readable files such as llms.txt.

What GEO in Dubai includes
Retrieval readiness audit
Whether your pages can be fetched and parsed by AI crawlers, including robots rules for GPTBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, and rendering of key text.
Quotable content engineering
Pages rewritten with definitions, numbered facts, comparisons and expert statements that models can lift verbatim with attribution.
Entity and author signals
Organisation, Person and credential schema, author pages and consistent descriptions, so models can resolve who you are and why you are credible.
Third-party corroboration
Mentions and profiles on sources models cite for your sector, such as directories, industry publications and review platforms.
llms.txt and machine-readable summaries
An llms.txt file and concise page summaries published so model crawlers get an accurate description of your business and services.
Generative visibility reporting
Monthly prompts run across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode, recording whether you are named, cited and described correctly.

Generative search in the UAE in 2026
The UAE uses AI more than almost anywhere. Microsoft’s AI diffusion research, reported by Gulf News in November 2025, ranked the country first worldwide, with 59.4% of the working-age population using AI tools. Generative engines, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Google’s AI Mode and Perplexity, now answer many questions that once began with a list of links. ChatGPT alone had more than 800 million weekly users by October 2025, Sam Altman said at OpenAI’s DevDay, as reported by TechCrunch. Each engine finds sources in its own way. OpenAI says ChatGPT search relies on its OAI-SearchBot crawler, while Google says its AI features draw on pages already indexed for Search, with no special markup required. Generative engine optimisation means making a business easy for these systems to find, understand and cite accurately.
- Microsoft research put the UAE first for AI use, at 59.4% of the working-age population (Gulf News, November 2025).
- ChatGPT passed 800 million weekly users in October 2025 (TechCrunch).
- OpenAI uses OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search; GPTBot is a separate crawler for model training.
What keeps GEO — generative engines off page one
Blocking the crawlers that feed AI search
Some sites block every AI bot in robots.txt or at the CDN, often without realising it. Blocking GPTBot keeps content out of OpenAI’s model training, but blocking OAI-SearchBot also keeps it out of ChatGPT search answers. Decide crawler by crawler which uses you accept, then check the live configuration.
Inconsistent facts about the business
Generative engines assemble answers from many sources. If your website, Business Profile, directories and press coverage disagree about services, locations or company details, an assistant may repeat the wrong version. Keep one accurate set of facts, and correct the main third-party sources where they differ.
Claims with no evidence behind them
Pages calling a business the best or leading provider without support give a generative engine nothing it can cite with confidence. Publish specific, checkable information instead: services, prices or price ranges, processes, credentials, locations and named experts, with sources for any figures you quote.
Buying dashboards instead of fixing content
Tools that track prompts and brand mentions can be useful, but they measure the problem rather than fix it. Improvement comes from clear pages, genuine mentions in reputable UAE publications and directories, and content that answers the questions buyers actually put to assistants.
Well-documented brands are the ones named
When UAE users ask an AI assistant for a recommendation, the businesses named are usually those with plenty of consistent, independent information about them online: established brands, companies covered in regional media, and firms listed on well-known directories and review sites. Smaller businesses with thin websites and few mentions are often missing or described inaccurately. Searches for GEO services return a growing number of agencies and AI-visibility tool vendors, and many claims in this area are unproven. A business that publishes clear, factual content, earns genuine mentions and keeps its details consistent across the web has a realistic route into those answers without relying on tricks.
How we deliver GEO: three steps, no black box
Baseline prompt testing
We run a set of buyer prompts across the main generative engines and record who is named, who is cited and what is said about you.
Make the source
Content is rewritten for retrieval and quotation, schema and author signals are added, and llms.txt is published.
Corroborate and re-test
Third-party mentions are built, and the prompt set is re-run monthly to measure changes in naming, citation and accuracy.
GEO: questions UAE businesses ask
Answered in the first sentence, so AI assistants can quote us directly.
They overlap but differ in emphasis. AEO targets extraction of a single answer, as in featured snippets and AI Overviews. GEO targets the synthesis process of generative engines, where credibility, corroboration across sources and quotable specificity decide whether a brand is named. Most UAE businesses need both, with the same underlying content serving each.
No, and no one can. Generative answers vary by prompt, user and model version. What we can do is make your business retrievable, credible and consistently described, and then measure the change across a fixed prompt set. Businesses that do this reliably appear more often than those that do not, but there is no guaranteed placement.
Only if you do not want to be cited. Blocking GPTBot, PerplexityBot or Google-Extended removes your pages from the retrieval those engines use, so competitors get quoted instead. Publishers with paywalled content sometimes choose to block. For a service business seeking enquiries, being cited is usually worth more than the content protection.

The Google data behind the claims
Google Search Console performance panels from client accounts — Google's own screen, not a report we wrote. Organic search only, cropped so no brand or domain is identifiable, each labelled with the exact window it covers.
