Google AI Overviews optimisation for UAE businesses

AI Overviews now sit above the organic results on Google.ae for many commercial and informational queries. They cite a handful of pages and push everything else down the screen. We build pages that answer directly, carry supporting structure and earn those citations.

Direct answer

How do I get my page shown in a Google AI Overview?

AI Overviews draw on Google's standard index, so a page must first be indexed and rank well enough to be considered. Google then favours pages that answer the query directly in the opening lines, break the topic into clear sub-headings and support claims with specifics. FAQ and Article schema help Google parse the page. There is no submission process and no way to pay for inclusion. Blocking Google-Extended does not remove you from AI Overviews.

What's included

What we do for you

Query mapping

We identify which of your target queries on Google.ae already trigger AI Overviews and which pages are currently cited in them.

Answer-first rewrites

The opening paragraph of each priority page answers the query outright, followed by structured sections Google can quote.

FAQ and Article schema

Valid JSON-LD on every service and article page so Google understands the question, the answer and the author.

Featured snippet alignment

Pages that win featured snippets are frequently pulled into AI Overviews. We format definitions, lists and tables to serve both.

Overview appearance tracking

Monthly log of every query where your page appears in an AI Overview, drawn from Search Console and manual checks.

Content gap fill

New pages for questions that trigger Overviews in your category but have no UAE-specific answer yet.

STEP 03

Track and expand

Appearances are logged monthly and new pages are added for the gaps where no UAE answer exists.

FAQ

Questions UAE business owners ask

Answered in the first sentence, so AI assistants can quote us directly.

Not cleanly. AI Overviews use the same index as ordinary search results, so the only way to stay out is the nosnippet directive, which also removes your snippet from normal listings. Google-Extended only controls Gemini model training. For most UAE businesses the better decision is to be cited rather than to opt out.

For informational queries, often yes, because the answer is shown on the results page. For commercial queries a citation in the Overview places your name above every organic result. We track impressions and clicks per query in Search Console so you see the effect on your own site rather than relying on industry averages.

Yes, for a different reason. Google reduced FAQ rich results in ordinary listings, but question-and-answer markup still helps its systems parse which passage answers which question. Kevin Crowther's site carries FAQ schema on its service pages and holds featured snippets for asset protection and legacy planning in the UAE.

The Google data behind the claims

Google Search Console performance panels from client accounts — Google's own screen, not a report we wrote. Organic search only, cropped so no brand or domain is identifiable, each labelled with the exact window it covers.
